Welcome to the start of the Alamo Area Boxer Club. We
are currently an un-accredited AKC club.
Whether we are involved in conformation showing, obedience, agility,
tacking, therapy work, rescue, or we just simply have wonderful couch potato boxers we have a common denominatior among us
all- we love our boxers!! In the San Antonio area, and surounding areas, there are several breeders/owners that would
benefit from the networking of belonging to a near-by club. As much as we would like to attend further away meetings,
gas prices, time, and family needs put a strain on our otherwise good intentions.
We are striving towards a club that is friendly, fun-loving, and
devoted to the enhancement of our breed. Education is also a key to this club being established. Educating the
public about boxer related health problems, health testing, and responsible dog ownership is high on the agenda.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the need for a new club
and to begin the process for becoming sanctioned by both the AKC and the ABC. We hope to be able to hold future sanctioned
B/OB/B-OB matches for added practice for our members, as well as looking into fun events for all to enjoy! Any and all
input in sought after!
